Player-First Craft
We design with empathy, delivering clear onboarding, accessible controls, and delightful micro-interactions.
Lemon Goose Games
Lemon Goose Games is a Calgary-based independent game studio building playful mobile games, puzzle systems, and quick web experiments with a strong sense of craft.
Founded officially in Calgary, Alberta, in 2023, Lemon Goose Games grew out of years of prototype work, puzzle experiments, and practical lessons from building games for real players.
We like games that explain themselves quickly, respect the player's device, and still have enough citrus personality to feel memorable.
Knight's Tour anchors the puzzle side of the studio, while LumiCore and the site mini-games let us test faster, more experimental loops.
The studio standard is simple: make the first move clear, keep the interface readable, and polish the tiny moments that make players want one more run.
Hidden characters across the website are part of that same mindset. They reward curiosity without getting in the way of the actual information visitors need.
Every project at Lemon Goose Games is grounded in four beliefs that keep the work clear, polished, and fun.
We design with empathy, delivering clear onboarding, accessible controls, and delightful micro-interactions.
Puzzles should stimulate, not frustrate. We balance difficulty to reward curiosity and persistence.
Feedback loops with players, partners, and fellow designers keep our experiences evolving and relevant.
We favor practical iteration, useful feedback, and releases that the studio can properly support.
From early experiments to published games, the studio keeps its process close to playable prototypes and real feedback.
What began as passion projects for friends laid the groundwork for our approach to human-centred puzzle design.
We officially planted roots in Calgary, Alberta, focusing on bringing Nikoli classics to life on mobile.
With Knight's Tour in players' hands and LumiCore moving through beta, we’re preparing more inventive logic games and exploring playful idle systems.
